We got this for a trip taking our Golden retriever to the beach and it worked great. The hammock fit our Toyota Camry fine and helped keep our dog from trying to jump into the front seat. It also kept the mess of sand at the beach from getting all over the car as I could take it out and shake it. It protected the car and me from dog mess. The dog liked it and was able to sleep in it on long drives. We moved it to our older Nissan for at home driving but without back seat head rests it doesn’t do as well. But it is still better than the blanket we used before.

I’ve had this for a year now. I ended up duct – taping the open slots for the seat belts as I didn’t need them. Kept the seats fur-free, was easy enough to remove for people. This was sturdy enough to support my 70 pound lab mix as she got older and weaker. She lost her balance a lot and the “hammock” action kept her from tumbling off the seat. Fairly water resistant – kept the seats dry even when she was wet. Now with a new puppy (who is terrified of the car and occasionally pees) we have to keep a towel on the bottom to absorb excess “fluids,” because frank fluids will just seep through the seatbelt slots. Cleans up easily – hose off, hang outside to dry. The only thing that would make it better is if it didn’t have open slots for seat belts to poke through at the bottom, but otherwise great price for quality!
